Avista was a pioneer in the concept of family video histories.
These video histories are deceptively plain and simple family stories that a grandparent passes along to grandchildren. But family stories are more powerful than we think, and can bring a lot of joy to the next generation, because:
- The storytellers are seen and remembered “in their prime,” when they are healthy and well.
- Treasured family mementos and photographs are preserved forever.
- The stories themselves amuse, entertain and comfort us, teach and guide us, and connect the family across generations.

Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are important events to preserve. Avista has “basic” packages that capture the service, and more elaborate options that record the entire day’s celebration.

FILM TRANSFERS TO VIDEO AND DVD
We can take your home movies (8mm, Super 8 and 16mm formats) and convert them to VHS video and DVD. We can add background music or, for an extra fee, you can narrate your footage for the benefit of future generations. We take excellent care of your film and return it to you when your video or DVD are completed.
